Actress Mary Mara Passes Away

‘ER’ Actress Mary Mara Passes Away, drowns in the NY River at age 61. An investigation was conducted by the New York State Police on Sunday morning after a possible drowning was reported in Cape Vincent, authorities said.

In their report, they noted that preliminary investigations have suggested the victim drowned while swimming. It was determined that the victim died of natural causes and that an autopsy will be performed to determine what the cause of death was determined.

A medical examiner’s office in Jefferson County, Missouri, will conduct an autopsy on Mara’s body. State police said there is no evidence of foul play.

Scott Dailey, her brother-in-law, said Mara was staying at Martha’s summer house when she had an “apparent swimming accident”.

CBS News confirmed that ‘ER’ Actress Mary Mara Passes Away through her manager, Craig Dorfman. As Dorfman recalled, Dorfman had seen her off-Broadway in Mad Forest in 1992. It was a great loss for everyone to lose her. Her enthusiasm, humor, and individuality were irreplaceable. We will all miss her.”

During the summer, Mara stayed at Martha Mara’s summer home, a family spokesperson told Deadline. The St. Lawrence River separates Canada from the United States.

With over 80 screen credits under her belt, Mara was a famous character actress.

ER, which ran for 15 high-profile seasons on NBC, has her playing Loretta Sweet after a number of one-off roles. In the 22 episodes that comprised the season from 1995 to 1996, she appeared as the memorable patient nine times.

It is also not known what information has been shared about their children. It seems like she keeps her private life low-key and out of the spotlight.

She later landed the role of Insp. on CBS’ Nash Bridges. Between 1996 and 1997, Bryn Carson appeared in the first three seasons. She was certainly not the only character on high-profile TV shows being played by her, although she was the longest-running on Nash Bridges and ER.  Over the course of nine episodes between 1995 and 1996, Sweet appeared as a prostitute with cervical cancer.
